Just yesterday we were teased with the first image from the upcoming Hulu series11/22/63, based on theStephen Kingnovel, and the streaming service wasted no time in providing us with even more photos from the production. Though Hulu is calling it a 9-hour limited-series event, we’ve learned from enough “limited series” at this point (particularly ones regarding Stephen King material) that it means nothing. If it’s popular, it’ll continue. If it’s not, it was always a miniseries. It’s a PR win either way.
According to the press release,

Hulu Original series11.22.63is a thriller in which high school English teacher Jake Epping (James Franco) travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy — but his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love, and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed.
And as we reported yesterday, “the series’ executive producerBridget Carpenter(Friday Night Lights) spoke toEWabout the challenges of making the movie, explaining how the production combed the archives of the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas, and read all of Lee Harvey Oswald’s diaries and letters (Oswald, of course, plays a big role in the series). Also, the series will have a big focus on nostalgia, with an emphasis on 60s fashions (Mad Menmeets theFlash?)”
