Though Fox’s first theme park, 20th Century Fox World Malaysia, isn’t due to open until late 2017 at the earliest, they’re already going ahead with plans for a second attraction in Dubai. The facility will also feature Fox’s first branded resort as part of the deal betweenAl Ahli Holding Group (AAHG) andTwentieth Century Fox Consumer Products. The deal also allows for an additional three Fox resorts outside Dubai.

Unfortunately we’re a bit short on details at the moment as to what these rides and attractions will actually be. The Mayalsia theme park is also currently under construction, so we don’t even have any existing attractions to compare. The interesting thing of note here is that the press release mentions Fox havingThe Simpsons-themed attractions at the park, though Universal theme parks currently hold the rights to adaptations of the famous property. Either things have changed from a rights-holder standpoint, or Universal’s deal didn’t include Dubai as a territory.

“20th Century Fox World, Dubai is the second Fox theme park destination and marks an important step forward in our global theme park strategy. Fox World will be a world-class destination that will help fuel Dubai’s emergence as a global tourism destination. This park builds on the foundation being laid by 20th Century Fox World, Malaysia, currently under construction.”
