Gerard Butleris set to reprise his iconic action role of Mike Banning inNight Has Fallen, which will be the fourth film in the hitHasFallenfranchise.
Ric Roman Waugh, who directedAngel Has Fallen, is returning to direct the sequel for Millennium Media, which is also bringing backRobert Mark Kamen(Taken) to write the script.

TheHasFallenfranchise has had a fascinating trajectory, as it was initially seen as something of a rip-off of big spec saleWhite House Downeven though it wound up beating that big-budget Sony movie to theaters. However,Olympus Has Fallenwas clearly superior to thatChanning Tatum-Jamie Foxxmovie, which was quickly forgotten. A ghastly sequel,London Has Fallen, threatened to derail the entire franchise until Waugh got things back on track withAngel Has Fallen.
