Ben Fosteris a man with mangling and mutilation on his mind in a new Collider-exclusive clip of the new thrillerSharp Corner.Cobie Smuldersalso stars in this adaptation of aRussell Wangerskyshort story, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall. The film, which was shot in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, is set to be released later this year.

In the clip, Foster (Hell or High Water) plays Josh McCall, a man who lives near the sharp corner of the title. It’s spelled doom for a number of motorists, and as the clip demonstrates, that hasn’t been good for Josh’s mental health. He and his wife, Rachel (Smulders,How I Met Your Mother), have some dinner guests over, but Josh can’t stop himself from talking about Kyle, a young man who recently perished on the corner. He describes, in gruesome detail, how the car’s passenger survived, but the driver was killed instantly in horrific fashion — impaled to his seat by the steering column. Rachel desperately wants to change the subject, but Josh can’t be stopped, talking about the boy’s football scholarship and his grieving parents, finally raising his glass in a toast to Kyle. How far will Josh’s obsession take him? You’ll have to see for yourself whenSharp Cornerarrives this Friday.
