Chicago P.D.Season 12, Episode 19, “Name Image Likeness,” gave Intelligence’s new member Kiana Cook (Toya Turner) her first CI case. The episode was heavy on Cook’s arcs as her relationships were touched on. As everything took a turn for the worse, Cook proved capable of handling the pressure of working cases like the ones the unit works. Sherelied a lot on her team memberswith whom she has decent relationships. Her mother reached out, but they had a decent conversation even if their relationship has always been strained. Speaking toTV Insider, Turner said that viewers should expect her relationships to evolve as the season progresses. “There’ll besome new dynamicsand relationships in the unit. Yeah, two relationships are going to change,” the actress teased. She confirmed her character’s involvement in these changes, saying:
“These are the two relationships that I have. I don’t want to spoil anybody else’s arc, but yeah, it’s two relationships that Cook has that have some different dynamics happening. They’re changing between [Episode 18] and the season finale.”

Cook and Torres' Relationship Might Improve In Later ‘Chicago P.D.’ Episodes
Despite having a strong start when she joined the unit, Cook and Torres' relationship took a nosedive in the aftermath ofhis cheating scandal with his CI, whichput Kiana in danger. The relationship has not been the same ever since, but Turner toldTV Linethat she’s hopeful it will improve. “I feel like there’s a possibility their relationship could get back to what it used to be,” the actress said. Torres' behavior has been off in recent episodes, and that doesn’t do much to inspire confidence in Kiana. “I feel like she don’t really trust him,” Turner said. “They’re not as close as they used to be,” she added, then continued, saying:
“I feel like [in the episode “Demons,"], [they] start leaning into each other more, and there are some things that bring them a little closer in [the “Name Image Likeness” episode], too, and then there’s going to be a moment or two in the finale. That’s it. That’s all. [Laughs] That’s all I can say, and I feel like it’s her gaining trust of him again.”

Whethertheir relationshipreturns to what it was remains to be seen. Tune in to NBC on Wednesdays to watch newChicago P.D.episodes and see how it evolves.
