In 2006, HBO’s critically acclaimed western seriesDeadwoodended after its third season with a less than satisfying conclusion. The show was to be followed up with a couple of movies to tie up the series however nothing has happened since then with any hope of continuation fading. Last August,Garret Dillahuntone of the show’s cast members had tweeted out that he heard credible rumors about aDeadwoodmovie. Now, yesterday at the Television Critic’s Association press tour party in Pasadena, HBO programming presidentMichael Lombardosaid the movie is “happening.”

You guys have often said that a movie doesn’t have to be R-rated just for the sake of being R, and that some movies need to be R because of the type of story that it is or the themes in it. So, which are for you some movies that needed to be R and weren’t and other movies that were R and didn’t need to? Thank and keep up the great work you do.

Greetings from Oshawa, Ontario. I was just wondering since Marvel skipped Comic Con, do you think we could see a MarvelCon (similar to the Star Wars expo thing) where its all MCU and Marvel comics stuff? By bringing in the cast from their Netflix, ABC, and animated shows as well stuff from the movies, and giving us a Civil War or Dr Strange trailer and maybe even a Ms Marvel casting announcement it could easily be fantastic!!!
Im my humble opinion,Star WarsorFury Roadshould win the Oscar for best picture. Here are my reasons why:
The best film of the year should make a lot of money.
It should be a film that people want to watch over and over again.
It should be a film that is difficult to make.
It is a film that you always remember no matter how many years have passed since you first saw it.
BothStar WarsandFury Roadmeet all of these expectations. JJ and Miller had the added pressure of meeting intense fan expectations. I feel there are very few directors who could have done what JJ did with TFA, and maybe no other directors who could have accomplished the impossible like Miller did.
On top of all this, I am tired of seeing movies that make very little money with the Oscar. If the movies are so great, then why does most people, like me, have no desire in seeing them.
