Get ready to head to the mean streets of Hell’s Kitchen again. Fans have eagerly been awaiting news on Season 2 of Disney+’s seriesDaredevil: Born Again,the upcoming installment of Netflix’srevivedDaredevilshow. While plot details for Season 2 remain hidden behind Daredevil’s mask, we at least have a major new update, as series co-creator and showrunnerDario Scardapanehas announced that the second season has wrapped filming.
Scardapane announced the news in a post onInstagram, thanking the cast and crew of the show. “That is a WRAP on Season 2 ofDaredevil Born Again,” said Scardapane. “Thank you to all who made this something truly special.” He then went onto list the majority of the cast and crew behind the series before adding, “Best cast ever. Best crew ever.”
While little is known about Season 2,Daredevil: Born Again’sfirst season rekindled the story of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer who masquerades as the red-suit-wearing vigilante Daredevil at night. Season 1 saw Daredevil go toe-to-toe withWilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), a dangerous crime lord who is also the mayor of New York City. The season ended with Fisk declaring martial law and Murdock working to find a new team to rescue his beloved Hell’s Kitchen — and New York City as a whole.
A Familiar Face Is Coming Back
Season 2 of the show will once again feature Cox, D’Onofrio, as well as Daredevil’s complicated love interest Heather (Margarita Levieva), his law firm partner Karen (Deborah Ann Woll), and more, including fan favorite characters like the Punisher (Jon Bernthal). But one “newish” returning face isKrysten Ritter,who is reprising her MCU role as the popular Jessica Jonesfor the first time since 2017. “There’s a lot of layers to play. The stunts are fabulous. Jessica’s kicking ass, she’s back in a big way. I think fans are going to be excited,” Rittertold Colliderof her return. So fans can clearly gear up for an action-packed, devilish second season of the show.
