The saga of everybody’s favorite Scottish deckhand has finally reached its conclusion.After a nightmare of a charter,Kyle Stillie’s fate onBelow Deckwas revealed: he’s safe to stay aboard. With rumors swirling about allegedly crossing the line with primary guestHelen Hoey,Captain Kerry Titheradgeopted not to fire Kyle, allowing him to remain a member of the St. David crew.

After the chaos fromKelly Furey’s removal, Helen took on the mantle as the primary troublemaker. Asking Kyle to hold her like a flotation device, her flirtatious nature, paired with Kyle’s jokes, led others to believe that Kyle had engaged in inappropriate behavior. During his birthday celebrations,Kyle alluded to the crew’s low tip by joking, “I f–ed Helen in the sea, for f– sake.“He continued to tell other crew members that he “slipped it in.”

Now on high alert,Chief Stew Fraser Olenderand deckhandDamo Yorgbelieved they needed to nip the rumors in the bud, asking Kyle to tell Captain Kerry about the incident. Following an inquisition and an admission that it was only a joke,Captain Kerry was unable to act on a hunch so he didn’t fire Kyle.

A returning cast member, Kyle is back onBelow Deckfollowing a Season 11 where he was entangled in a romance withBarbie Pascual. Romance has caused further headaches for Kyle as he’s engaged in a showmance with stewardessSolène Favreau. With a lackadaisical personality, Kyle’s antics have not landed with many of his coworkers, which has led to worries about his emotional status this season.Damo has expressed that his friend is acting the way he is as a call for help.

Bending over backwards for the guests, the St. David crew only received a $22,000 tip, despite the headaches of the unruly guests andChef Anthony Iracane’s extraordinary eight-course meal. As the teaser for the next episode alludes,the aftermath of Kyle’s incident and another potentially low tip will cause a civil war within the crew.
