*Note: this interview was done prior to The Cloverfield Paradox being announced as a Netflix movie

With co-writer/directorWill Gluck’sPeter Rabbitopening in theaters this weekend, I recently sat down withElizabeth Debickifor an exclusive video interview. She talked about how much fun she had recording her voice forPeter Rabbit, what people would be surprised to learn about the recording process, if the script changed a lot during production, and if she’s noticed a lot more people wanting to talk aboutGuy Ritchie’sThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.(she played the villain). Finally, towards the very end of the interview, I tried to get her to talk about directorJulius Onah’sGod Particle(now titledThe Cloverfield Paradox). You’ll see she wasn’t saying much.

If you’re not familiar withPeter Rabbit, the film is based on the classic books byBeatrix Potter, and features the voices ofJames Corden,Margot Robbie,Daisy Ridley,Matt LucasandSam Neill. The film is about Peter Rabbit (Corden) trying to get his hands on the vegetables in the garden next to where his family lives. Unfortunately, except for one sweet animal lover (Rose Byrne), the family running the garden (Domhnall Gleeson) wants nothing to do with the local rabbits, and their cantankerous relationship eventually comes to a head.

Check out what she had to say in the player above and below is exactly what we talked about followed by the synopsis.

Elizabeth Debicki:

Here’s the official synopsis forPeter Rabbbit:

Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).  James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.
