In the most fitting Nashville, Tennessee fashion, audiences just got their first look at9-1-1: Nashvilleatthis year’sCMA Fest, held in downtown Nashville, which teases just how intertwined the “music” in Music City will be with the upcoming9-1-1spin-off. The upcoming series will air on Thursdays on ABC after the flagship 9-1-1 returns for its ninth season. The new promo comes just days after the announcement of anew batch of cast members.
In the promo, played for audiences inside Nissan Stadium last night, we learned that some of the firefighters a part of the show will be aspiring musicians. The show is aiming to be big and crazy and spectacular, which is a tall order after the most recent season of9-1-1kicked the season off with a Bee-nadoand ended it with theshocking death of Bobby Nash(Peter Krause).

Who Stars in ‘9-1-1: Nashville’?
The newest9-1-1spin-off, premiering later this fall, after the conclusion of9-1-1: Lone Star, will be led byChris O’Donnell(NCIS: Los Angeles), playing fire captain Don Sharpe. Joining O’Donnell isGrey’s Anatomy’sJessica Capshaw, playing Blythe Ward. Two additional bigger names were announced, actressKimberly Williams-Paisley(Father of the Bride), as well as country singerLeAnn Rimes.Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz,andHunter McVeywere announced just earlier this week, effectively rounding out the cast of the 9-1-1 spin-off set in Music City.
According to Variety, Kilgore plays Taylor, one of the firefighters and aspiring singers we just heard teased. Provost plays Ryan, a “modern-day cowboy and firefighter.” McVey plays Blue, another firefighter with a dark past. Feliz plays Roxie, a “former adrenaline junkie and trauma surgeon.” The casting of Feliz also marks the first confirmed non-firefighter role. It’s unclear who Williams-Paisley, Rimes, and Capshaw will play in terms of their characters' occupations. It’s unknown if any of them will work at the dispatch center in Nashville, fielding calls about wrecks on the Briley Parkway.

Williams-Paisley as well as Rimes will bring unique perspectives, having logged a lot of hours in the real city.Williams-Paisley, married to country singerBrad Paisley, is a Nashville resident, heavily involved in the philanthropy of the community. When Williams-Paisley’s casting was announced, her husband affectionatelyposted to social media, “Oh great,” in reaction.
