If you’re having a difficult time waiting to see what kind of troubleJon Hamm’s Coop will inevitably find himself in during the second season ofYour Friends & Neighbors, there’s something on the way that will help hold you over. Tomorrow, Friday, June 13, Lakeshore Records is set to releaseYour Friends & Neighbors: Season One — Apple TV+ Original Series Soundtrackonto digital. The music, which was composed byDominic Lewis(Karate Kid: Legends), will pull audiences right back into the most nail-biting moments of the well-reviewed first season. Ahead of the soundtrack’s grand debut, Collider is thrilled to exclusively share the track, “This is What Happens (To Coop)”.
Not only does the YouTube video provide a first listen to one of the most recognizable pieces of music fromthe hit series(which currently holds an agreeable 80% critics and audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes), but it also shows off the album’s artwork. In the image, Hamm’s Coop can be seen clad in a black button-up shirt complete with black gloves to hide his fingerprints while rooting through the personal property ofhis neighbors. Describing what went into building the track that would end up driving the entire story, Lewis told us:

“‘This Is What Happens (To Coop)’ was probably the biggest challenge of the season for me. It was very early on in the process and not only did it have to do the job of the main title for the pilot, it had to propel us through the crazy fast-paced opening montage, tell the story, and maintain the audience’s interest for its entirety. I love where it ended up, and I think it’s the perfect blend of ‘Keeping Up With The Joneses’ and the modern palette we landed on for the show.”
