From the very beginning,Helluva Bosshas been a wild, unfiltered ride through Hell, blending chaotic comedy with surprisingly heartfelt storytelling. Now, with the fan-favorite animated series on the path to its planned fourth and final season,Brandon Rogersis assuring fans thatthe journey is heading toward a deliberately crafted finale — one they’ve been planning since day one.

“We’ve known how the show is gonna end since day one,” Rogers toldColliderin a recent interview. “I think people always fear, ‘Oh, do they know where this series is going?’ We’ve always known.Season 4 is when it ends, and everything that happens is intentional.”

‘Helluva Boss’ Will Be a Story Told to Completion

While the thought ofHelluva Bosswrapping up might leave some fans feeling bittersweet, Rogers emphasized the rare opportunity they’ve had to complete the story on their own terms. “I’m very blessed that we have the means to tell a full story,” he said. “We’re not going to wonder, ‘Is this our last season?’ We have all of our seasons. We are able to self-produce, but now we don’t have to self-produce, which is even better.”

The security of a planned ending means that Season 4 isn’t about scrambling to tie up loose ends; it’s about delivering the conclusion the creative team always envisioned. For Rogers, that’s a gift few shows get. “Like I said, I’m a storyteller, and now I have this platform where this really awesome story can be told all the way, and we’ve been greenlit through closure.”

The Joy and Tragedy of Endings

Rogers admits that he can’t reveal if the ending will be “happy or sad, or mediocre, or whatever,” but he’s confident it will feel right. “I think they all have a very fitting conclusion, and that’s one of the tragedies and joys of writing,” he explained. “What’s best for the charactermay or may not be best for you, or what you want, or what they want. But I don’t know —to me, the best part of every story is the ending or the final act.”

Even with the series’ planned ending still on the horizon, Rogers remains focused on gratitude for the community the show has built. “It’s already done so much good for our fans, for me, and I’m very excited to go through it.Helluvais just this wonderful piece of art,and I’m just very blessed that I get to be a part of it in such a creative way.”
