You don’t need a phone booth to change into the latest fashions fromSuperman. Apparel brand Heroes & Villains is offering a new collection of shirts inspired by the upcomingJames Gunnreboot of the DC Comics universe, letting you show your allegiance to Superman and Metropolis, the city he calls home. Thefour shirts have a vintage stylethat were inspired by the look and feel of the upcoming film.
One shirt bears theiconic Superman “S” shield, which in various continuities is the crest of Superman’s Kryptonian family and the Kryptonian symbol for “hope.” A second shirt displays the man himself in costume,highlighting his Kryptonian heritage and his human upbringing. Another bears the Art Deco-inspired iconography of Metropolis, the fictional city that serves as the backdrop for Superman’s adventures, and as home to most of his friends and foes. The fourth and final shirt features a globe logo, alluding to Metropolis' newspaper of record, the Daily Planet, and to the world Superman has sworn to protect.All four shirts will retail for $32.00 USD, and are available to order now.

What Is ‘Superman’ About?
Plot details are being kept under wraps for now, butthe film will follow several days in the life of Superman as he battles evilacross the globe, and attempts to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing.David Corenswetstars as the Man of Steel and his mild-mannered alter ego, Clark Kent. Supporting him at the Daily Planet areRachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane,Skyler Gisondo’s Jimmy Olsen, andWendell Pierce’s Perry White. Opposing him isNicholas Houltas tyrannical tycoon Lex Luthor andMaría Gabriela de Faríaas the Engineer, a mystery woman with high-tech enhancements. The film will also feature several fellow crime-fighters, including super-genius Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi), high-flying Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), misshapen Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan), and bowl-cut-sporting Green Lantern Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion). The film will also feature several notable elements from the Superman mythos, including his Arctic Fortress of Solitude and his superpowered dog,Krypto.
Supermanis the first film in the new Gunn-spearheaded DC Comics cinematic universe. Next summer, it will debut its second film,Supergirl, which starsMilly Alcockas Superman’s cousin, Kara, and featuresJason Momoaas intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo.
