Is ‘Landman’ Getting a Season 2?
In January 2025,Demi Moore, who plays one of the main roles, revealed in an interview thatLandmanis expected to start filming Season 2 in early 2025, saying:
I’ve already completed the first season and I’m excited for us to start the second which will be at the beginning of next year [2025].

What Is ‘Landman’ Season 2 About?
LandmanSeason 1 ended with a major turnaroundfor our protagonist and the sudden demise of a pivotal character. Following Monty’s death, Tommy finds himself amid chaos as the new VP of M-Tex Oil, a job he never wanted. For starters, he must negotiate a highly exploratory drilling deal that could save the company from bankruptcy. To do this, Tommy must navigate his hatred for the company lawyer, Rebecca, while also dealing with the subtle threats from his new cartel contact. To add to this mix, Tommy also has a high-maintenance family, where everywhere seems a handful.
LandmanSeason 2 will likely pick up from where it left off and dive more into Tommy’s family dynamics and his budding relationship with the cartel boss Galino, who surprisingly seems to be a friend to Tommy, albeit with reasons. Hinting at what to expect in the upcoming season of the Western drama, Thornton hints,

I would also hope that we explore the weird position that Tommy is in with Andy’s character. Tommy isn’t dealing with henchmen anymore. He knew how to deal with them. But now he’s got a smart guy on the opposite side of the law who is his equal.

Who Is in the ‘Landman’ Season 2 Cast?
The creators had put together a fantasticensemble of talents for the first season ofLandman, and we can expect most of them to return for Season 2, with some exceptions. Leading the ensemble is Billy Thornton, who plays the flawed titular hero, Tommy Norris, a down-on-luck land manager at M-Tex Oil, whose life is just a series of crises and unfortunate occurrences. But when his boss suddenly dies, leaving him as the company’s VP, Tommy’s life takes a dramatic turn.
Demi Moore stars as Cami Miller, Tommy’s friend, and wife of his boss, Monty. By the end of season 1, Cami is a widow after her husband dies of a heart attack, and she is set to return with a much bigger and more significant role in the second season ofLandman.

Among guest stars from Season 1,Andy Garciaplays Galino, a high-level cartel boss who wants to exploit Tommy’s position and connection to move drugs, and might be returning in a similar capacity in Season 2.
As for the most important update on the cast ofLandmanSeason 2,Jon Hammwho plays one of the leading characters, Monty Miller, will not be returning for the second season. Monty is the owner of M-Tex Oil and Tommy’s old contact, who dies of a heart attack in Season 1, thus ending his character arc.

When is Landman Season 2 Filming?
As per the recent updates from cast members Thornton and Moore,filming forLandmanSeason 2 is set to commence sometime in 2025. The first season of the Paramount+ drama was filmed around Fort Worth, Texas with locations including the headquarters of the American Association of Professional Landmen, Fort Worth Petroleum Club, Rivercrest Country Club, and Texas Christian University.
