There are many ways to win theCBSreality seriesBig Brother, but none of them are possible without at least one good alliance. Luckily for this season’s resident AI strategist,Jimmy Heagerty, he quickly scored the best of the season; the trio of Jimmy,Morgan Pope, andMickey Leehad all the charisma and strategic skills necessary to make it to the end. These were easily some of the strongest people coming into the season, and Jimmy was lucky to have these women by his side, which is what made it so hard to watch his recent power trip completely turn them against him. Power corrupts, and it’s an unfortunate trend inBig Brotherfor usually calculated players to feel like they’re above those around them the moment they gain any amount of power. It can lead to the best competitors' downfall, and it’s what led to Jimmy, Mickey, and Morgan’s “Triple Threat” alliance to completely fall apart.

This ‘Big Brother’ Alliance Could’ve Gone All the Way

Big Brotheris an unpredictable, constantly shifting game, yet some players enter the house ready with the skills needed to take everyone else down. This season, those players were Jimmy, Mickey, and Morgan; the three contestants immediately recognized the others' talents and decidedto form an alliance early in the first week. While wildly different — their lives beforeBig Brotherspan the halls of Washington, the high society of Georgia, and the utter toxicity of video game lobbies — this trio shared an endless amount of charismaand the strategic minds necessary for this complex gameplay.Viewers were excited to see them come together as the “Triple Threat” alliance, quickly forging relationships and establishing a strategy to get themselves further in the game. Only one week in, and they were already shaping up to be this installment’s power alliance, but then, Jimmy won Head of Household, and everyone saw just what that much power can do to a person.

While the weekly Head of Household competition is inherently beneficial, there are countless examples of people who win this power and use it to ruin their whole game. From faulty backstabs to cocky confrontations, audiences have seen people completely implode their standing in this house because they create selfish chaos during their one week of power (forgetting that they won’t have said power next week). This was, unfortunately, the fate of Jimmy, as his HOH week saw the man put up controversial people to be eliminatedand ignore anyone who tried to tell him it was a bad idea. Two of these people were Mickey and Morgan, with the women fuming in secret and discussing at length how not only had Jimmy failed to ask them their opinions —or communicate with them at all over the past week— but he was actively making choices that hurt their strategy! His cockiness drove the man to think that this was a single-player game, forgetting how easily an alliance will turn on you when they realize you’re only playing for yourself.

Can these “Triple Threats” Be Saved on ‘Big Brother’ 27?

While Morgan and Mickey have expressed at length how fed up they are with Jimmy, that doesn’t mean their alliance isn’t salvageable. Both have made it clear that they focus on tact over emotion, that they’re ready to ignore past disputes if itmeans making logical, good moves in the game. Now, Jimmy, on the other hand, has joined the unfortunate category ofBBplayers who let the power of Head of Household go to their head. He’s developed a seven-day-long superiority complex that has upset almost everyone in the house, especially the two women he’d sworn he would listen to (who he just hasn’t had time to communicate with the entire week). His time as Head of Household is a saddening example of how a power tripcan turn even your closest allies against you,and if Jimmy doesn’t put in some serious work at repairing “Triple Threat,” he may have just cost himself the best partnership of this season.
