Season 13 has been one of the most exciting seasons ofThe Masked Singer. Between the star quality and the exceptional performances, the series pulled out all the stops for this lucky season. But, to keep viewers glued to their screens,a mysterious character known as Lucky Duck continued to pop up here and thereto throw the panel off the scent with clues about the masked singers.
When we first met Lucky Duck, even with his voice masked, the accent gave it all away.But, before his identity was revealed, he came in with a massive twist that allowed all four celebrities to head to the finale with the Ding Dong Keep It On bell. With a sigh of relief, it was time to reveal this benevolent benefactor. Were we right all along? You bet! It was none other than Oscar-winning filmmakerTaika Waititi!

This season ofThe Masked Singer, viewers have seen a wide variety of celebrities tackle their favorite songs inside the most incredible costumes on television. But there was one extra personality who was up to no good this season, Lucky Duck, the resident detective. Often there to taunt the panel about their guesses and provide clues that should have helped them identify the talent on stage,Lucky Duck was the season’s gimmick that helped fill the void of any major twist.Thankfully, having a big character inside the character helped amplify the energy in the studio. Taika Waititi is a gas, and proved it every time he stepped on stage.
After the reveal, as she picked her jaw up off the floor,Rita Orawas about to toss her show on stage as she said, “I hate you!” Then, on her way to greet him, she said, “I thought you were the most annoying thing on this whole show.” The award-winner shared that he was able to keep his identity a secret from his wife because, well, she’s always working and always atThe Masked Singer. Easy enough!While we knew who he was from the start, we also know he could have played around with his voice to attempt to throw us off the scent.Or, perhaps, that was the entire point. To give us something easy!

So, what made him so special? He just happens to be Rita Ora’s husband. The reveal was not shocking to viewers who clocked the accent from day one, but the panel seemed to be gobsmacked. Now, with four incredible singers left,The Masked SingerSeason 13 finale will have a quartet of unmaskings with one leaving with the Golden Mask and title as the winner.Coral, Pearl, Mad Scientist, and Boogie Woogie have done a phenomenal job this season.As we have spent weeks trying to decipher their identities, we’ll finally get it all answered. The panel might be onto something with their guesses thus far. Could any of them be pop stars? What about country singing icons? Maybe an actress? All will be revealed soon!
