Brown portrays Corporal Laila Jackson, Karl Alberg’s (Sutherland) former Minneapolis coworker, who joins Gibsons PD, where she has worked for a couple of months. She has quickly established herself as a valuable teammate and colleague, coming across as fun and charming. However, Laila is a recovering alcoholic whose old demons threaten to resurface due to the stress from the department’s critical understaffing.
On the other hand, Close’sMurder in a Small Towncharacter is Todd, described as a “large, unkempt, and ragged unhoused man” whose appearance makes him seem scarier than he is. He is prone to anxiety and lashing out when backed into a corner, but is also an avid and insightful reader who spends his time at the local library. Soon, he becomesconnected to a violent crimeafter a confrontation in town leads to police involvement.
Who Else Has Joined ‘Murder in a Small Town’ Season 2?
One more star, newly added toMurder in a Small Town’s second chapter, isTracker’sMarci T. House. House will play the “brisk, brusque, and capable” Angela Clyburn, a Medical Examiner who works tirelessly and pays attention to detail.Recently single and with a 19-year-old son, Clyburn knows Alberg by reputation but has not worked with him until now. The jury is out, as far as she’s concerned; that’s until Alberg’s methods and his integrity begin to win her over.
As forHarden’s role in the new season, she is Mayor Christie Holman, “a beloved figure in the community” who will complicate life for Alberg and Cassandra (Kreuk), as she uses the competing priorities of the community to advance her own agenda.” Although the mayor is still a practicing doctor with the best interests of the people of Gibsons at heart, she sometimes lets her personal interests take precedence.
