Kristian Bruun, who played the fan-favorite Donnie Hendrix on the hit seriesOrphan Black, will be reprising his role for the second season of the podcastOrphan Black: The Next Chapter. Bruun joins originalOrphan Blackcastmates includingTatiana Maslany, who won an Emmy for her performance in the shot, as well asJordan GavarisandEvelyne Brochu.

The Next Chapteris the official continuation of the series, narrated by Maslany, as it continues the journey of the sestras and explores the dangerous, life-changing consequences of having destroyed Project Leda for good. Bruun was excited to return to the world ofOrphan Blacksaying:

Bruun has kept himself busy sinceOrphan Blackwent off the air, he’s held a steady role in the Canadian crime seriesMurdoch Mysteriesand was most recently seen in the Fox Searchlight horror filmReady Or Not, starringSamara Weaving.

The podcast is produced by Realm, an audio entertainment company that has produced other shows likeIf I Go Missing the Witches Did It(starring Oscar-nominatedGabourey Sidibe), andMemory Lane(written byPretty Little LiarscreatorSara Shepard). Realm has also dabbled in producing DC and Marvel content withWonder Woman: HeartlessandBlack Panther: Sins of the King.

Realm announced that AMC Networks, the parent company of BBC America (which was home for the series for five seasons, will co-produce the second season of the podcast. Realm’s founderMolly Bartonsaid:

Picking up eight months after season one left off, season two ofOrphan Black: The Next Chapterexplores the continuing fallout of the clones being outed to the world: the ways in which different clones cope with their exposure—or fail to; how loneliness is not easily overcome, even among hundreds of genetic identicals; and the power of family—chosen and unchosen—to rally not only against those who mean them harm, but also in support of one another. Plus, there are new developments for Cosima and Delphine; new drama for Alison and Donnie; new purpose for Sarah; a return to action for Helena; unexpected turns for Rachel; trouble for Charlotte; new misadventures for Felix; the return of clone CIA agent Vivi Valdez, and the introduction of several prominent new clones. In the podcast series, Maslany, who portrays all adult clones including Sarah Manning, Cosima Niehaus, Alison Hendrix, Helena, Rachel Duncan, and Vivi Valdez, is joined by Bruun, as well as Evelyne Brochu plays Delphine Cormier and Jordan Gavaris returns as Felix Dawkins.
