Like many who watch HBO’s now long-running seriesGirls, I have a love/hate relationship with the series. Or maybe casually like/hate is a more accurate representation. It not only has a lot of his personality in the text of the film, but it’s also where he begins to become more experimental even if the soft-spoken attitude of his previous features is still present. In the latest episode of The CW seriesLegacies, entitled “Let’s Just Finish the Dance,” the Miss Mystic Falls pageant, and all of the competition and stress that accompanies it, forced Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) to deal with all of the emotions that she’s been trying to compartmentalize for some time now. And with the fallout of her actions leaving her and Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) on the outs, Hope will turn to Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) to help her make things right....

DirectorJulius Onah(The Girl Is in Trouble, The Cloverfield Paradox) brought his new filmLuceto Sundance earlier this year where it was a nominee for the Grand Jury Prize. Now, the film’s first trailer brings the psychological thriller to the masses ahead of its theatrical release this August through Neon and Topic. This is one film where it might be best to go in cold, but the first trailer is certainly a well-crafted teaser and I’m intrigued....
