Hap and Leonard’s third season — despite taking place in the 80s, and the novel on which it’s based being written in the 90s — turned out to be surprisingly and terribly relevant to current events. As Hap (James Purefoy) and Leonard (Michael K. Williams) ventured to and from Grovetown in search of Florida (Tiffany Mack) and the truth of what happened there, the show gave us a raw and often horrifying view of racism and hate....

Hot off the success of Amazon Prime Video’sReacher,Alan Ritchsonwill star alongsideHilary Swank(Boys Don’t Cry,Million Dollar Baby) inOrdinary Angels, a film based on an inspiring true story. PerDeadline, Swank will star as a struggling hairdresser who rallies an entire Kentucky town to support a widowed father (Ritchson) and his severely ill daughter.Jon Gunn(The Unbreakable Boy,Do You Believe?) will direct the film. Lionsgate will distributeOrdinary Angels, which is set up at Kingdom Story Company, a studio that is not a stranger to these kinds of stories....

We might loveSeinfeldas a show, but the characters in it are the worst people in the world. Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), George (Jason Alexander), Kramer (Michael Richards), and Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) are self-absorbed jerks. We are meant to laugh at them, though. Watching them get their comeuppance in hilarious fashion is part of what makes the sitcom so iconic, and why the gang went to jail in the much malignedSeinfeldseries finale. While they’re horrible human beings, their pathetic, over-the-top personalities are used for absurd humor, not realism....

InJoshandBenny Safdie’s excellentUncutGems, opposite a manic, bravado-oozingAdam Sandler,Julia Foxgives a star-making debut as Julia—Howard’s (Sandler) golden-hearted girlfriend. In a film full of miserable, bitter characters, Fox is the shining beacon of hope, and her presence is much needed: The film is a thrill ride of inescapable anxiety, like taking thefirecracker scene fromBoogie Nightsand stretching it to two full hours until the tension inevitably reaches its irreversible breaking point. Fox, while not exactly the comic relief, assuredly bringssomesense of relief as the emotional anchor to the film....

As a new featurette forKubo and the Two Stringsillustrates, their next venture marks another unique take on a familiar genre. Following the eerieCoraline, the ghostlyParaNorman, and the lightheartedBoxtrolls,Kubois Laika’s “stop-motion samurai film,” says Travis. It’s an epic tale of one boy who, armed with a magical instrument called a shaminsen, embarks on a journey to save his family from an evil he inadvertently unleashed....

As of today, Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially sold more than 525.3 millionPlayStationsystems worldwide. In 24 years of sales, fans and gamers have seen the famous console undergo a variety of iterations, with thePS4 Probeing but the latest in that long line. Now, as a way to celebrate that milestone, Sony is unveiling a Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro system as “thank you” to their fans. It’s an expensive “thank you” to be sure, coming in at just under $500, but there are only 50,000 available worldwide so collectors out there should be more than happy to accommodate....
