Action-romance stories feature a journey that propels the two characters into high-stakes situations that force them to identify and deal with issues they wouldn’t otherwise bring up. The “will-they-won’t-they” tension ensues as characters often search for the right one, and some movies do this fantastically well....

Guy Ritchieprobably has the most quotable movies of modern times. Legendary features likeSnatchhave some of the most memorable lines and performances, and Ritchie masterfully blends genres. He’s also skilled in putting together a great cast and creating chemistry between them with his scripts. Despite his numerous successes with viewers, critics may not be so inclined to agree;Rotten Tomatoesratings compared to the ones by audiences have big gaps between them. But, this shouldn’t mean Ritchie’s movies are bad, they’re just proof that critics don’t always fully grasp the appeal a movie has with an audience....

Blumhouse has released the trailer for one of their latest films,American Refugee, created in a collaboration between Blumhouse Television and Epix. The two companies have teamed up for a whole slate of horror/thriller films to be premiered on Epix. American Refugeeis a new thriller film that follows a family living in an America that is in the midst of societal collapse. Greg and Helen Taylor, played byDerek Luke(The PurgeTV series) andErika Alexander(Get Out), are faced with finding a way to keep their family safe from the violence that has erupted in the outside world....

A movie likeAvengers: Infinity War, with its epic, ten-years-of-MCU scope and massive character list, deserves a huge character poster. Matt Ferguson has delivered, via Bottleneck Gallery. His new print shows our heroes in a muted color palette silhouetted against a Thanos-purple backdrop. There are so many details in this, including nods to their powers and some of their most epic scenes within the film (Vision with a halo is also a nice touch), that there will surely be new things to find every time you look at it....

With all due respect to the Fries family, all is most definitely not chill in Gotham City right now. The CW’sBatwomanfinds itself in a constantly-evolving main character swap. Last month,Ruby Roseannouncedthat she would not be reprising the role of Kate Kane for season 2, with showrunnerCaroline Driesrevealing shortly afterward that a new character would take Kane’s place beneath the cape and cowl. Anunderstandable move, but one that led to worries that Batwoman would be killing off the character, a problematic issue in light of television’s long history—and, honestly, the CW’s history specifically—of killing off LGBTQ characters purely for plot purposes....
