Though it’s far from a masterpiece, there’s something to be said about the wayFifty Shades of Greyso perfectly showed how discussions of sexual preferences come out without simultaneously typifying Christian Grey and Ana Steele as “perverts.” The scenes where they discuss what Grey (Jamie Dornan) requires in bed from Steele (Dakota Johnson) are rare in cinema and exhilaratingly adult in tone. Where similar discussions in, say, aJudd Apatowproduction would immediately speak to the awkwardness or weakness of the character,Fifty Shades of Greytook those moments seriously and that’s to be applauded, even if the rest of the movie was uneven and tonally all over the place....

WithHarry Potter: Puzzles &Spells, Zynga has managed to do something rather magical. I’m not the biggest fan of Match-3 mobile games, but I am a massiveHarry Potternerd (along with most of the world). I’m also two years into Jam City’sHarry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, so I honestly doubted I’d be playing this new game for long. Could another mobile title built on a game style I don’t particularly like be enough to hold my attention?...
