Leave itMarlo Hamptonto keep spilling that sweet tea. The long-time “Friend Of” and short-timeThe Real Housewives of Atlantastar shared some pay disparities when it comes to the beloved franchise. Appearing on theACross Generations Podcast, Hampton was asked about how much a reality star might make. Andher answer was not all that surprising.
HostTiffany Crosswas hoping to learn a low to high end ballpark of what a reality star might make, but Marlo Hampton gave her a different type of answer.Hampton divulged that regarding salary, “Now it’s often,” then noted thatKandi Burruss,Nene Leakes, andKenya Moorewould have been the “top three paid.” Cross mentioned that “15k might” sound like a lot of money for a “Friend Of” but Marlo reminded her about taxes.“15 an episode ain’t nothin,“said Hampton.

Marlo Hampton Is Fine as a ‘Friend Of’
After Tiffany Cross mentioned that the network is likely making ten times what someone like Hampton would receive, the Muntie replied with, “If you pay attention, anyone on reality tv, you don’t see their life change until, like their fourth episode…You ain’t making no money Season 1, 2, or 3.” She then noted that perhapsthe reasonKandi Burrusskeeps all of her jobs is because of the pay from the show. She said that she wouldn’t be working so many other jobs like Kandi. As she said, “I want a soft life now.”
The other bomb that Hampton dropped in her interview regardingher displeasure at being a Peach holder.“I loved being a Friend,”she said. “The show was in a bad place, and don’t think I can just come and save the show. I came on with the originals. It was a different kind of show. A different time and age.” Noting that the series had gone to a dark place, she revealed, “A lot of us didn’t have respect for each other. We went too far below the belt–including me.” She felt that the others didn’t see her as an equal due to her past. Would she go back toThe Real Housewives of Atlanta?Only as a “Friend Of.” She said, “I would want [the peach] money, but I’m not big on a title. I don’t know if it’s because of my upbringing. I’m big on getting the job done, being the best at my job, and getting paid. The title could be a janitor, but as long as I’m getting the money I want and need … I’m ok.”The Real Housewives of Atlantais available to stream on Peacock.
