It’s the showdown of the century, black versus blue, day versus night,Donald TrumpversusHillary Clinton— and it’s all by way ofAlec BaldwinandKate McKinnon. TheGhostbustersstar has been playing Clinton onSaturday Night Livefor I can’t remember how long at this point, but NBC announced Baldwin will be taking on the person of Trump for this weekend’s October 1st premiere of the late-night sketch comedy show.

In the past, Baldwin offered SNL impersonations forAl Pacino,Marlon Brando,Tony Bennett, Texas GovernorRick Perry, andBono, to name a few. The network gave audiences a first look at his impression (pursed lips and all) as both he and McKinnon get prepped in costume and makeup for the parody debate.Darrell Hammondmost recently held the position of Trump impersonator, butTHRreports that Baldwin will continue the character all throughout the 42nd season. Hammond will continue as theSNLannouncer and will appear on the show sporadically.

At the time this article was published, Trump had yet to respond to this news, though he’s never been one to let things go quietly. The Republican nominee for President of the U.S. appeared onSNLduring his campaign, which proved fairly controversial, considering NBC announced him shortly after Trump’s remarks calling Mexican immigrants rapists and linking them to drugs.
