To reach the third spot,Deep Coverhad to passJason Statham’sThe Beekeeper, which has been a streaming phenomenon for over a year, andTom Cruise’sOblivion, which has been revived on the streamer thanks to the release of his latestMission: Impossiblemovie. It’s also ahead ofWhite Chicks, the 2004 cult classic starringTerry Crews.
Deep Coveris a buddy action-comedy following three improv actorswho are asked to go undercover in London’s criminal underworld. Starring in the lead role of Kat isBryce Dallas Howard, who is known for her role as Claire Dearing in theJurassic Worldmovies, and also for directing episodes of variousStar WarsTV shows. Starring alongside her areOrlando Bloomas Marlon, andNick Mohammedas Hugh. Who Wrote and Directed ‘Deep Cover’?
Derek Connolly,Colin Trevorrow,Ben Ashenden, andAlexander Owenall wrote the script forDeep Cover, andTom Kingsleystepped behind the camera to direct the film. Ashenden also plays the role of Dawes inDeep Cover. Both Connolly and Trevorrow have worked with Howard in the past on theJurassic Worldmovies, but none of the three returned to work onJurassic World Rebirth, which was penned byDavid Koeppand directed byGareth Edwards.Deep Coverdirector Tom Kingsley is also known for his work onDoctor WhoandGhosts, and he’s been tapped to helm at least one episode ofAlice and Steve, an upcoming TV series led byJermaine Clement.
