Terminator: Dark Fate, the Cameron-approved franchise re-set that basically establishes that whoopsGenisyswas just a prank, is set to arrive in less than six months. DirectorTim Millershared a bit of an update today from the film’s editing bay, where he’s putting the “finishing touches” on the first trailer. “We’re just weeks away from releasing this fucker into the wild & we’re very, very excited,” Miller wrote.
Dark Fatebrings the OG Terminator badassLinda Hamiltonback into the fold as Sarah Connor, while also introducingMackenzie Davisas a protagonist, Grace. (Arnold Schwarzeneggerwill, of course, be back as The Terminator.) Collider’s Jeff Sneider got a dose ofDark Fatefootageat CinemaCon, which established Davis' new character as a force to be reckoned with:

“The first scene we saw was Davis’ introduction. She’s a time traveler who arrives in Mexico City, promptly causing a car accident and falling off a bridge. After being rescued by a young couple, the police force surrounds them and starts making threats, prompting a still-nude Davis to start kicking ass. She neutralizes the threat and then takes her clothes from the male half of the couple, leaving him just his underwear. The scene establishes that Hamilton won’t be the only badass woman in the film, as Davis kicks a ton of ass here.”
