Ever since taking the reins of DCU, Gunn has constantly stressed upon “script first” approach of all DC projects going forward. It’s one of the primary reasons forThe Batman IIdelay as well. This writer-centric approach not only helps shape a better film but is also setting a precedent in the DC universe where the writers are getting rewarded, for example,SupergirlscribeAna Nogueirais now writing the newWonder Womanmovie, after delivering a script for theMilly Alcock-led film. So, it is certain that, after Tomlin deliveredThe Batman, he moved on to a new secret project.
