ForThe Lincoln LawyerstarManuel Garcia-Rulfo, there’s one dream collaboration that keeps coming up — and it involves another big name from theMichael Connellyuniverse. In an exclusive conversation following his press run forJurassic World Rebirth,Garcia-Rulfo told Collider’sChristina Radishhe’s 100% on board with the idea of a crossover between Mickey Haller andHarry Bosch(Titus Welliver).
“That would be amazing,” he says with a grin, clearly excited by the possibility. “Because I always wanted to meet Titus,he came to visit one day on setand it was perfect. It was so cool. I would love to work with him, but I guess it’s impossible. It would be amazing though.”
That’s the unfortunate reality:The Lincoln Lawyeris a Netflix series, whileBoschandBosch: Legacyare Amazon Prime Video properties. Still, it hasn’t stopped fans — or Garcia-Rulfo — from imagining what it could look like ifthe two iconic Connelly characters crossed paths on screen. It’s not just about ticking a box. Garcia-Rulfo has huge respect forTitus Welliverand his work as Bosch, and the thought of sharing a scene with him still lights him up. “I haven’t even done the approach of, ‘Hey, guys, do you think we could do it?’ I guess it would be impossible, but that would be so cool.”
Garcia-Rulfo revealed that the idea of a subtle crossover moment was actually discussed behind the scenes. “Yeah, we thought about that, to have him walking in the halls of court and Mickey just looking at him,” he shared. “But alas, no such luck, at least yet.” Even a background moment between Bosch and Haller would be a huge moment for longtime Connelly fans. In the books, the two are half-brothers and occasionally team up on high-profile cases — most famously inThe Brass Verdict. While rights issues between streaming platforms make an official crossover unlikely, it hasn’t stopped the cast from dreaming.
What Would a ‘Bosch x Lincoln Lawyer’ Episode Look Like?
It’s fun to imagine what a crossover episode could look like: Mickey defending a client accused of a murder Bosch is investigating. Both men are streetwise, deeply principled, and don’t mind bending rules to get to the truth — which is probably why their personalities clash so often in Connelly’s novels. And even though Garcia-Rulfo admits a full-blown crossover might be out of reach, he’s hopeful. Whether or not Haller and Bosch ever get to meet on screen, the desire is there. And Garcia-Rulfo isn’t giving up on it just yet.
