Alien: Romulusis a week away from premiering in theaters, marking the return of the franchise that excels in taking the horror genre to outer space. 20th Century Studios has released a new look at the upcoming sequel. The video includes a sneak peek at the Xenomorph action that will be seen in the highly anticipated release. The classic monster that was introduced in the firstAlienmovie will be heavily featured inAlien: Romulus, as the series returns to the big screen seven years after the release ofAlien: Covenant.

The premise ofAlien: Romuluswill follow a crew who will attempt to steal equipment from an abandoned space station. But what was supposed to be an easy mission will turn into a nightmare once the team realizes they are not alone on the ship.Cailee Spaenystars as Rain Carradine inAlien: Romulus, and the new teaser puts her face-to-face with the otherworldly monsters. The actress received plenty of praise for her performance inPriscillaand is one of the brightest rising stars in the industry. In addition toAlien: Romulus, Spaeny will next be seen inRian Johnson’s nextKnives Outmovie.

Spaeny will be joined inAlien: RomulusbyDavid Jonsson,Archie RenauxandIsabela Merced. Jonsson was recently seen as Luke Fitzwilliam inMurder is Easy, the television series that was based on theAgatha Christienovel of the same name. And it looks like Isabela Merced has found success when it comes to the superhero genre. The talented actress appeared inMadame Web, and she will be seen as Hawkgirl on the big screen onceSupermanflies into theaters next summer.

Before the duo worked on the latest installment of theAlienseries, Álvarez and Sayagues introduced a scary slasher icon in theDon’t Breathemovies. In a few days, audiences will be able to witness howAlien: Romuluscan change the landscape of the franchise.
