It’s once again another exciting time to be a Marvel fan asDaredevil: Born Againjust premiered on Disney+ this past week. The series sees the return ofCharlie Cox’s vigilante after the hero’s initial Netflix series was canceled in 2018. Cox has been floating around the last couple of years in the MCU with cameos inSpider-Man: No Way Home,She-Hulk, andEcho, but this series acts as Daredevil’s true homecoming. Now, afterBorn Again’s two-episode debut,Hasbrohas unleashed their latest Marvel figure.
A part of Hasbro’sMarvel Legendsseries, this six-inch Daredevil figure is based on the character’snew suitseen inBorn Again. While similar to his Netflix look, this updated design features a bolder and brighter crimson-red color scheme. The black accents found throughout the suit also make the costume pop even more. The figure itself will come with a few accessories, including an extra set of hands, Daredevil’s icon batons and a wire attachment for his weapon of choice. As Season 1 progresses, hopefully Hasbro can deliver Marvel die-hards figures for Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, The Punisher, and Bullseye to go along with Daredevil’s fresh attire.
The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is ‘Born Again’
While not taking place directly after the Netflix series,Daredevil: Born Againpicks up thematically where Cox’s first tenure with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen left off.Matt Murdock (Cox)has retired from his life as a vigilantedue to an unknown tragedy in his past. In his absence,Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio)has risen to power as New York City’s mayor. Matt eventually dawns the costume again to fight the corruption of the city, which includes the reappearance ofBullseye (Wilson Bethel). Other characters returning from the Netflix series areThe Punisher (Jon Bernthal),Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). The Netflix universe of Marvel shows were alsovery violent, rated-R, affairs which the Disney+ series is upholding. The original iteration of Daredevil had some of thebest hand-to-hand fight scenesof the last decade, so it’ll be exciting to see whatBorn Againhas in store for us this season.
When’s the Next Episode of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’?
Daredevil: Born Againwill be premiering new episodes every Tuesday at 9 PM EST throughout the month of March and April onDisney+.The streamer is also the home of the old Netflix series, which consisted ofDaredevil,JessicaJones,Luke CageandIron Fist.Born Againhas already been renewed forSeason 2and is currently filming now.Matthew Lillard(Scream) has joined the cast in a mysterious role next season.
