With the theme of witches built right into the concept and a central protagonist whose upbringing was less than ideal, WandaVision bore some resemblance to another wizard-based property we could name. WhileHarry Potterwas a Gryffindor through and through, the characters ofWandaVisionare not quite as easy to categorize. Only by looking at their complete arcs do the patterns emerge. We’re confident we can predict which Hogwarts houses the Sorting Hat would pick for these unique MCU characters.

Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) - Slytherin

Slytherins get a bad rap (which is sometimes deserved) and so does Wanda (also sometimes deserved). Yet, there are a lot of good qualities to be found in the members of the house of the serpent. Though prone to self-centered behavior, there is also a willingness to pull back the curtains and see things as they truly are without romanticism. Though it is Hufflepuff that is the house best known for loyalty, once a Slytherin’s affection is earned, they can be incredibly faithful.

One of Wanda’s strengths is her ability to navigate negative energy that could easily destroy a more naive mind. ThoughScarlet Witch’s grief shows throughin her choices, she uses her sensitivity to protect people, as well. Never easily categorized, Wanda embodies the traits of a true Slytherin.

Vision - Hufflepuff

Though the character who appears as the leading man inWandaVisionis notably not the “real” Vision, asVision is one of the characters that perishedinAvengers: Endgame, he is formed by Wanda to represent all of the kindness and gentleness that he showed her throughout their time together. Though he eventually sees the damage Wanda is doing by manipulating people with her powers, he never treats her with anything but sincerity and love, and that places him squarely in Hufflepuff.

Teyonah Parris in WandaVision

Hufflepuffs are known for their patience, and Vision truly has his great patience tested on a profound level inWandaVision. But as difficult as his journey is, he remains dedicated to Wanda and the family they’ve built together, acknowledging that even if he only knew them for a short time, they were very much real to him. Though Hufflepuffs can be unfairly regarded as pushovers, Vision fights to his last breath for the people he loves. Let’s face it, this guy is the quintessential Hufflepuff.

Monica Rambeau - Gryffindor

No one onWandaVisionembodies the classic Gryffindor bravery so much as Monica Rambbeau. Not only does she return to Wanda’s world despite significant danger to herself after being forcefully ejected, but she never backs down in the face of Wanda’s awesome shows of power. In the end, Wanda is able to manipulate everyone else, but Monica sees right through the pretense and is able to understand that she is suffering and needs help.

Monica’s interior life is troubled by the death of her mother while she herself was gone during “the Snap,” but she is able to put that aside to reach out to someone whom everyone else is ready to write off. On the other hand, when Tyler Hayward tries to pull rank and intimidate her, Monica never backs down. It’s her capacity for compassion alongside a fiery spirit that places her in Gryffindor.

Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) in WandaVision

Darcy Lewis - Ravenclaw

One of the breakout characters ofWandaVisionwas Darcy Lewis, who had appeared previously in the MCU but was finally given a chance to shine. Her dry wit and ability to navigate dangerous situations with a matter-of-fact attitude while spouting facts and theories make her stand out as an obvious member of Ravenclaw.

Darcy might be an intellectually-driven character who always has a quip ready, but she’s also brave and willing to put her life on the line to help. Though it is Monica who recognizes Wanda’s pain for what it is, Darcy backs her up every step of the way and helps by creating a practical plan to rescue the town of Westview by going in.

Agatha Harkness - Slytherin

Another highlight for the series was Agatha Harkness, who first appeared as the perfect housewife and neighbor only to ultimately reveal herself as a powerful witch. Though her and Wanda’s raw strength seemed more or less on par with one another, Agatha had greater training and knowledge, and that gave her an indisputable edge.

No Slytherin enters into a full-out battle without knowledge of their enemy’s weaknesses if they can help it, which explains why Agatha slinks along the sidelines and bides her time. Waiting for the opportunity to strike and ingratiating herself to Wanda in the meantime, Agatha plays the kind of long game that her house is known for. In fact, some might say"it was Agatha all along."

Jimmy Woo - Ravenclaw

Another character who had appeared previously but stepped into the spotlight withWandaVision, Agent Jimmy Woo quickly became a fan favorite due to his take-things-as-they-come approach. His deadpan responses to everything the wild world of superheroes throws at him makes him stand out even in such a dynamic cast.

Driven by a genuine desire to do good, Woo is both by-the-book and understanding of the fact that sometimes things go off the rails. InWandaVisionand inAnt-Man & the Waspalike, Woo seldom lets his true feelings show. He’s whip-smart and quick to react while maintaining a sense of compassion that can’t help but shine through his unflappable demeanor, placing him alongside many other Ravenclaw members.
