It would seem thatX-Men: Apocalypse,Bryan Singer’s follow-up toX-Men: Days of Future Past, will be the film to kick off the summer 2016 season at the movies, as it will be released on May 27th. WhereasDays of Future Pastleaned more on the period production design and the time-traveling storyline,Apocalypsewould seemingly be more about the addition of a huge array of characters from the Marvel comic books; Quicksilver and Bishop were the most memorable new faces from the last film.
WithApocalypse, not only will we finally be getting our eyes onOscar Isaac’s titular god-mutant, we’ll also see the young incarnations of favorites like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, and Nightcrawler, played byTye Sheridan,Sophie Turner,Alexandra Shipp, andKodi Smit-McPhee. On top of this, we’ll have Psylocke, the powerful mutant played byOlivia Munn, and last night, the formerDaily Showcorrespondent took to Twitter for a Q & A to talk with fans and debut a brand new picture of her character from the film. Although my primary interest with the film is seeing how Isaac inhabits the famed villain of the title, there’s a similar level of anticipation to see how Munn, a very talented performer, molds into Psylocke. Check out the new image below.

Here’s the official synopsis forX-Men: Apocalypse:
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
